Well it's been a while... Time to update this blog with some personal stuff.
Just a few days before my trip to Asia (early September, see the Travelogue porfolios) Lensbabies contacted me about the use of my works, name, quotes for advertising the Original Lensbaby - as a fact this lens has become my favorite piece of photo equipment since the first time I tried it (Spring 2007). This is what came out of it so far:
Moreover, very recent news is the upcoming interview for Swedish magazine Kamera & Bild.
This is all for today... ciao a tutti.
Craig Corbin has opened a brand new website at www.craigcorbinart.com.
I’ve been following his art since the “virtual sculptures” from some time ago… then I saw his Holga photography. Manipulation and photography actually blend so well in his art, the natural blur of the plastic lens is in perfect and transparent symbiosis with the objects (real and virtual) and the composition (always evocative, often in a dark dreamy mood)… but his non-manipulated Holga (and not only) photos are, from a photographer’s point of view, his forte –disarming in their simplicity and at the same time so incredibly powerful and profound. His photos and their mood, atmosphere, tones, composition have been a real inspiration (I should say influence, no escape!) for me, especially since I’ve started doing selective focus.
Best of luck to Craig for his new projects.
Another one I'd definitely like to see. Denis's work is a lesson of art and style every time. Those of you who are able to make it to Bordeaux, France... do not miss it.
A must-see if you are in Paris area, France, Europe (or wherever). Great visionary b&w photography –what impresses me mostly in Bruno’s art is the incredible dynamism, the tension, and the way he can give such a vivid impression of life to inanimate subjects. Don’t miss it if you can.
